Authentic looking restaurant with a warm and cosy interior. The food was average and not something super exciting compared to the other outlets at the hotel. The staff are polite but can sometimes be a challenge when communicating with them as their English is not great.
We were so happy that we could find authentic Hainan Chicken Rice in Dubai. The Hainan Chicken Rice is as authentic you can find in Malaysia and Singapore. Not only the chicken meat is soft and tender, the rice was cooked with the chicken broth and mixing with the special ginger sauce blended all very well together. It was amazing! If this dish is part of the menu, it will certainly attract more customers who miss this special dish from Malaysia and Singapore. Highly recommended to Hotel Sofitel to include this dish to be part of the menu instead of require special order. You always find this famous dish in the room service menu for most five start hotel in the world especially in Asia region. Thank you to Chef Steven!
The restaurant itself presents well, decor and vibe set a great first impression. Service is excellent. The food was a let down – the hot and spicy soup was fine and I shared some spring rolls and chicken mains with the young bloke and honestly I have had better dishes from a food court. Value for money I think not, better options around. 2.5 if I had that option but sadly I don’t, so it remains a 2.
We enjoyed our dinner here. We were warmly welcomed and the waitress took her time to help us with the menu. The food was nice and well presented. The ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant with dim lighting complemented with a red and gold colour theme throughout.The only gripe was that the time taken to serve the courses of food was too long. A speedier service is required.Overall, we enjoyed the pleasant and friendly atmosphere and the delectable food.
Ambiance is nice , good decors . Courteous staff . What we ordered : STARTERS : it was a platter with all the starters served which are mentioned in dine around menu ( picture attached) MAIN COURSE : Pan fried lamb chops . Stir fry beef fillet with rice DESSERTS : The dessert banana fritter with icecream was ok . Would not recommend the date soup in desserts however ( chilled red dates treasure soup ) , wasn’t tasty at all and even wasn’t sweet enough for dessert standard . My favorite among all the food that we ordered was fried lamb in starters section which was crispy and good , it wasn’t spicy however as per the name ( spicy lamb and bean curd roll) Rest of the food that we ordered was ok . Everything we ordered was from dine around menu option in first page of menu . Pictures attached of everything .
Alright I will cut to the chase, this place is one of my favourite at this moment! The food is excellent quality, I have been in alot of chinese fine dining restaurants but this one for me is phenomenal, the staff’s are all amazing, well oriented service and gorgeous ambience is literally what you will gonna obsessed for, The food guys..I’m speechless in the sense that I wanna go back once again, authenticity yes this is it, Hong Long Restaurant is the name!
Great service and tasty food. Very delicious Beef with Black Pepper sauce and very yummy noodles. Will definitely be back and will recommend to my friends.
