We have tried the afternoon tea at Mashrabiya a few times. And we believe the the flavours at Mashrabiya, the variance of food items, the attention of staff, the views – inside and outside make them the best afternoon tea in Dubai for us. We really admire how much effort goes into every single component of their afternoon tea , and how they adapt their menu every few months. Their starters are the warmer quiches which are creamy , cheesy goodness. The cold sandwiches are all so different including cucumber, egg, beef, salmon, chicken, foie gras sandwiches. They put so much effort into making each single one of them a gem in their own right, different breads, different flavours, different proteins, every single item is done to perfection. The same way their sweet pastries are different in the sense that a big focus is put on making desserts not overly sweet. You are having desserts but every morsel is immaculately balanced, the tartness of fruit, with creaminess of dairy with the crunch of nuts and visual appeal is all just done to perfection. They always have some extra bakery items which maybe Madeleines, Pies, Chocolates or Fruit Cakes which accompany the Scones. They are among the few places in Dubai which do the scones fresh and it feels like it lands on your plate straight from the ovens. Which makes the experience that much more enjoyable. In the end the staff changes, people come and go but somehow Mashrabiya manages to retain the very best individuals. Their staff will treat you like family and it’s a magnificent experience in short. That’s why we keep coming back.
