The food was great – the vibe not so much. I was really bored and actually wanted to go to their other lounge. The interior, decor, music was extremely disappointing. The service was great though and so was all our food. A bit disappointed that without realizing we erre still there the staff turned on all the lights (i guess coz by midnight you shouldnt be there?) its not a big deal and they apologised but yes we felt obliged to leave after that.

I have to say that I simply adore this place. In my humble opinion it’s one of the 3 best DXB-based French restaurants (2 others are La Petite Maison and Bagatelle). The interior, however, is extremely Kitsch and made me literally cringe the first time I saw it (those black chandeliers would look much better in a high-end strip club). But don’t judge the place by its looks! Their food is creative, balanced and simply delicious. If you’re into French cuisine with a bit of unusual twist then it’s a restaurant for you. Most of the waiters are francophone so if you want to practice your French you’re most welcome. Overall, maybe it’s not a Michelin star level but close enough!
STAY by Yannick Alleno is situated in a fancy hotel on the palm in Dubai. Although the dishes were straightforward when it came to ingredients, the presentation was dainty and appetizing. The dinner was a la carte as opposed to a set menu but I loved that we still got the element of surprise with amuse-bouches popping up in between the food we ordered. Our choices were on the fishy side and all was delicious, including the beautifully crafted crab salad. When it was time for the dessert, it was a unique experience. The pastry chef was actually with us in the dining room and we could walk over to take a look at his sweets. We chose our desserts and returned to our seats; the chocolate souffle was freshly prepared on the spot. He also sent us little delicacies to savor and satisfy our sweet tooth. Another enjoyable experience to further enhance this dinner was when we were invited to see the chef and kitchen. We were even given a quince juice drink that he had been preparing through a complex process which he described to us. Beautiful and romantic restaurant in a gorgeous hotel. Definitely the right choice for a date night. Every member of staff was great – friendly, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back.
As mentioned one would expect a lot from Yannick Alleno’s restaurant and they lived up to it . The food and service was excellent and worth the price. One must try their chef special dessert, its to die for .Overall i would totally recommend it for a date night .
