Had breakfast at curry xpress. Place was crowded, we had to wait next to the chair for half an hour, it is worth the wait. Loved their idiappam and attukaal paya. Also tried their vatalappam which was soft, juicy and creamy. Natukozhi gravy and Kadai masala are the best. Must have dishes for Eid.
Visited this place during lunch time based on the recommendation of the staff person working over there itself decided to go for their Chicken Biryani , it was bought to me within 5 mins of time . Biryani was served hot along with raita and sweet as well . Chicken pieces were soft and it was a typical Chennai style biryani . Pricing wise it costed me Dhs 11.50 only .
If you are not finicky about ambience and like spicy kerala/ South Indian then opt to go there. If you are finicky about ambience and like spicy kerala/ South Indian then place an order. Either way, curry xpress won’t disappoint you. Go for regular fare like Biryani, chilly chicken and the likes. Visited this restaurant at around 4 pm after late shopping . Unfortunately couldn’t try more things as only biryani available as it was late. So ended up ordering chicken n mutton biryani I believe it’s a Tamil restaurant as the biryani tasted very different from keralite. Food was very tasty but very very oily. Very surprised when I was charged only 12 aed for a plate. One step into the restaurant is as if you have step into your own home It’s a restaurant for all normal people who don’t even want to have a fancy dinner at fancy place .. It’s a feel good restaurant which serves food with taste of Tamil Nadu .. In this part of Dubai you can’t find a good a restaurant that serves proper tamil food .. Without the indulgence of Kerala cuisine .. I’ll have lunch here at least once week .. I’ve been a regular customer for the past one year.. There’s really nothing to complain about the food Service is very good .. You’ll be taken care very well Muslims who will be fasting can book for the one month you’ll be delivered on time before your sahar
