No greeting and bad service had to stand up and leave before we ordered as no one attended us. Unfortunate as this is a eco frinedly restaurant.
One day happen to be that Food guide himself had the opportunity to visit the roots bistro as it proclaimed itself to be the UAE’s first sustainable restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was vibrant, lively and active as it had a higher proportion of daylighting entering the indoor space from the glass doors which was a part of energy conservation measure inorder to reduce the lighting energy.Now moving on to food, I order the build your own breakfast, which was served with fluffy omelet, stir-fried mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, barbeque sauce and toasted bread. Now from food critique perspective the food portion size was totally inadequate with regards to the price point as there are more better offerings across silicon oasis with much higher quality and standard. Being a sustainable restaurant shouldn’t allow the restaurant to overcharge the customers. For Coffee, I ordered the Café latte which seem to be alright with eye-catching coffee container for parcel. I could feel the beans were fresh and would recommend the coffee as it had an incredible note. You shall be charged extra 5 AED for not carrying the water cup and this aspect doesn’t make sense. I support the idea of providing free drinking water for eliminating the plastic bottles. But not penalize customers for not carrying their own cups which totally doesn’t make sense.I would say that this restaurant has to work a lot in terms of their strategy for food and staff as they are not serious. staff seems to be a not interested in entertaining me as a customer and my critique was accepted by the chef. But still he wasn’t willing to make some adjustment. The most disappointing part for any restaurant is the fact that they don’t convert the feedback into feedforward which would eventually help to lure more customers. foodguideofficial.com
Their sweet potato gnocchi is to die for. I have been dreaming of it ever since. Their pulled lamb is also absolutely delicious! Loved the place and service!
جربنا المطعم في فترة الفطور.. المطعم كديكور مرتب.. والمكان هادي.. طلبنا البيض البندكت.. وطلبنا فطور روتس الخاص بالمطعم وقال لنا النادل ان ممكن نطلب البيض بالطريقه اللي نحبها فطلبنا البيض المسلوق في الماي بدون قشر لكن للأسف تم تقديم البيض مخلوط والبيض فيه ريحه غير جيده.. و البندكت فيه سمك أيضا ريحته سيئه.. الكوفي كان خفيف جدا.. والخدمه بطيئه.. والصحون الاضافيه اللي تم تقديمها لنا فيها نقاط واضحه من الماء.. طبعا مستحيل ارجع لنفس المكان وما انصحكم ابد انكم تجربونه..
The place is so beautiful.. Latte is nice .. and the whole team are super friendly .. you can consider it as a co-work place too 😀 One more thing .. One of the healthiest places to eat in Dubai. Ingredients are organic and most of them locally sourced. Food is delicious and fresh. Water is served free, stilled and sparkeling. We had fish of the day with 3 side orders, and a vegetarian burger. Both dishes were full of flavors and so yummi. Must try the sweets also!
2 days ago I visited their pop up restaurant at Yas Mall inside Urban Retreats. It’s a small vegan burger joint. The ambience is amazing. Made it look like a French cobbled street with many different pop ups. We were served by Nelson and Ritah. Nelson focused on the main course and Ritah on the drinks. They import the impossible meat (Vegan) burger from California. It tastes very similar to a beef patty. They have a variety of buns available. We also ordered two other burgers. One that was kimchi based and the other broccoli and cauliflower. Their burgers are slightly dry. I would like some more sauce on them.
