Had a fun-filled, enjoyable dinner with a stunning view of the city and the soaring Burj Khalifa here at Babiole. Located at the level 44 of the Westin in Al Habtoor City, we’re definitely delighted in the good vibes, lively music, comfy seats, nice breeze of their outdoor bar. They offer a menu featuring a range of Mediterranean cuisines. To start with, the Octopus Carpaccio (thinly sliced, slow cooked octopus with lemon dressing and fresh chives) was oozing with flavors yet delicate to the palate. That’s our first time to try an octupus dish and we loved it. The Burrata and the Truffle Pizza were both appetizing and absolutely a must try. The Pasta Al Parmiggiano (creamy al dente pasta flamed in aged parmesan wheel) was a delight both in smell and taste – creamy and cheesy. Lastly, the Kobe Steak is to die for, that sharing is certainly not an option. This mouthwatering, medium rare steak is our best steak till date! And since it’s my birthday, they surprised me with a slice of strawberry cheesecake. Trust us guys, Babiole is a perfect spot for a chill out night.
I visited Babiole on a weekday evening after being recommended by a friend. 4 of us dined in the upper part of the restaurant with window views looking over SZR and towards the Burj Al Arab. The restaurant was quite empty but the DJ made sure the ambiance was lifted. There was a lot of staff on duty so perhaps they were expecting some later reservations.Babiole covers quite a space, complete with an outdoor bar (which is a little too windy to sit & enjoy a drink, but would possibly be nice for sunset drinks). Indoor the white walls have some oversized art, whilst the DJ booth has a graffiti wall. The main table has a dance floor so I assume they will have some type of performers at some stage. The menu comprises of only two pages and most of their dishes are made for sharing. It’s a Mediterranean restaurant so expect a lot of fish.I couldn’t go past the burrata cheese for entree and then not wanting seafood or chicken I didn’t have a lot of options left to choose for my main but ended up having a chorizo dish from the starter which was enough for me as a main. Cooked in a pan with quail eggs and a tomato based sauce and chunks of moldy spicy beef chorizo sausage. Our waiter from Eastern Europe was polite but timid, able to anticipate our needs without standing over us.We umm’d and ahh’d over the dessert menu for a while before caving and ordering a saffron creme brûlée and the profiteroles which were filled with custard. Overall an enjoyable meal, hoping they start to pick up once more people know about it.The bill came to just 520AED after using the Emirates Platinum discount. justnossy.com
Discover BABIOLE! A NEW and exciting dining experience awaits you at the top floor of Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City. Indulge in decadent courses surrounded by a state-of-the-art scenery. The newly opened Mediterranean Restaurant also features a lavish terrace boosting unbelievable views of Dubai and the majestic Burj Khalifa.
Amazing terrace on the 44th floor with full view over Dubai. Unfortunately, this was the only good part of our lunch there. When we arrived at the restaurant, we and our waiter Milijan were the only people in the whole restaurant. We were in the area and came for the business lunch that is advertised by the restaurant in social media. Apparently, the restaurant management did not find it necessary to inform the staff about the lunch offer as our waiter was clueless and insisted that there is no such thing and pushed to order a la carte. Once we showed him the instagram of the restaurant he is actually working for he agreed to go inside and check again. He appeared again with the business lunch menu.We placed our order. The food arrived fast and was ok, nothing special or outstanding but solid. To all people who do not drink alcohol, this business lunch is NOT for you. Although the hotel is owned by a local Emirati family, the restaurant does NOT replace the wine or beer included in the menu against a glass of plain water but charges this instead which disadvantages people not drinking alcohol. They do not exchange the alcoholic drink (at much higher price) against simple water! In all years in Dubai this is a first timer that a locally owned place does not offer a non-alcoholic option in a muslim country! As nice as the terrace and restaurant was, we were the only guests in two hours there – looking at the training and attitude that was given to our waiter I am not surprised the place was empty – we won’t be back with so many better options in Dubai.
Our experience was amazing, great food, lovely ambience. The fantastic performances and on top the friendly Staff. My Nabeel was super server and made sure our experience was worth. Would definitely make a visit again
I went few times there n i just loved the food, everything was delicious , staff r very professional n friendly, i will definitely come back
I made the mistake of visiting twice as I was staying in the hotel for a couple of days.I was told Friday brunch was a big thing but we only see some guy in the corner smoking who wouldn’t stop staring at us.The menu was a trick to find something exciting and what was served to us was boring.McDonald’s has a new black pepper burger which was quite nice and only 5 minute drive away.Weird pretentious decor that doesn’t even try and rip off a decent graffiti artist.Would have given 3 stars if it was half the price
