Worst experience ever!!!! I ordered through a well-known food delivery platform, I use all the time, for some healthy eats. I place my order and proceed to wait for 1 hour and 45 mins for my delivery. When I called an hour in, their site says average delivery time is 30 mins, I was told “yes, yes, you order coming”, another 45 mins later, I call the place to tell them I no longer want the order as it will be cold, the manager says “no, no order coming from kitchen” I asked to cancel my order. Driver shows up 2 mins later with cold food and says “you pay”, I said no, take it back he argued and I walked away. I do not recommend this restaurant, the employees where rude as well as the Manager.

So today our food gang landed to lifter life , located in Jumeriah. Lifter life is a new concept for healthy food eaters. Dishes prepared with whey protein. Pane-cakes , salads , yogurt based desserts , grilled chicken with rice and mongo based spice sauce , chicken shawarma and many more. Wonderful presentation of every single dish. So many variety of salads. Sharing the pics what we had. Very good and healthy concept.
The salmon rice is worth the price, a delight to the senses.

Aren’t we all guilty of late night dessert cravings? I know I definitely am! So, with some family visiting from overseas, we searched for an interesting joint that served mouth watering chocolatey sins, and we found one! Or so we thought.Cake Bar is located in Jumeirah at a prime.location which makes it easy to spot. Parking however, can be a little difficult to attain during prime hours over the weekend. However, if you decide to go there during the weekday, you should be fine.So, excited to indulge in some dessert divinity, we headed to The Cake Bar at 10:30pm, and as soon as we entered, we were told that the bar is about to close (even though they’ve mentioned their working hours to be till 11pm at night). We still went ahead and got a table since technically we weren’t late.Between the four of us, we decided to order the Tiramisu Affogato and a Chocolate Air. The Tiramisu Affogato was a little different from most Tiramisus that I’ve had till date. Like it’s title, it did hold a strong sense of coffee, however the Tiramisu lackes in sweetness which unfortunately made the coffee overpowering. As a dessert, it didn’t do wonders to curb my sweet tooth.The Chocolate Air though was delicious! The Chocolate Souffle was very light and airy, as it should be, and the complimenting hot chocolate sauce and popcorn made it a well balanced dish. The Popcorn Ice Cream seemed misplaced for this dessert. A little too sweet, the ice cream along with the souffle was a bad combination. Excess of sweetness in a dessert doesn’t win you points!Apart from the Ice Cream, I would definitely recommend the Chocolate Air to anyone who loves to explore their chocolate palette!The Cake Bar is a sweet little joint, with a comfortable aura to it, but if you’re expecting stunningly delicious desserts, you might be a little disappointed.
