After winning a contest on Instagram, I was super excited to try out food from Asian wok, specially because they advertise about no MSG in their food. So, on Thu night we went to JLT and picked up my 2 woks. The place is small, mostly aimed at delivery!I had egg noodles, with chicken and crispy chilli sauce. This was decent, the crispy chicken in the noodles was good.Jasmine rice, with chicken and kung pao sauce was the other one I tried. Unfortunately, this was not something I enjoyed at all! Too much sauce, too sweet even though this was supposed to be spicy. It was way too sweet for my liking!Vegetable spring roll was fine, the filling was good.Prawn crackers were ok till my daughter found something like plastic, which was basically a not properly made prawn cracker!

First-time order turned out very impressive. The udon noodle had the right balance of black pepper and the ingredients were fresh, unlike comments from past reviews. The Cantonese crispy noodle is a tricky one to master in Dubai but they came off top marks. The ingredients used were very fresh. In fact, the major surprise was finding shitake mushroom, water chestnuts and baby corn – rarely found in Dubai’s Chinese cuisine. The starchy sauce was perfect but slightly insufficient. If you like the ‘wok-hei’ (wok-burn) taste synonymous with authentic Chinese stir-fry dishes in South East Asia, this place comes highly recommended. Can’t wait to try the Curry Laksa and savoury Carrot Cake.
