I kid you not because I really fell in love with the special mutton karahi which was cooked in butter. The mean was really soft and the gravy is not like the usual karahi and had a unique and nice taste to it. I got my delivery within agreed times with decent packaging as well. We also liked the chicken Achari handi, the yakhni pulao and rohni naan. Overall the food here was excellent and is definitely a place I would order from again.

DASTARKHWAN : Located at cluster ‘ N’ in JLT , this tiny restaurant serves some of the Pakistani and Arabic dishes. Our recent visit was for weekend lunch. What we ordered -Drinks: We ordered Lemon mint and Mix fruit cocktail. Both were fresh and delicious. Lemon mint juice was a perfect balance of mint and lemon.Soups:Lentil soup : This was amazing in taste with thick and creamy texture. Appetisers:Chicken Malai Boti: Succulent boneless chicken cubes well marinated in yoghurt, spices and grilled to perfection. It was too tender and soft with smoky flavour.Chicken Seekh kabab: These were delicious with ground minced meat and handful of spices and served with a side of green chutney. Lamb chops: These lamb chops had distinctively rich and savoury flavour. The meat was so tender, super juicy and rich in taste. Highly recommended and a must try.Main course:Chicken Karahi: A popular Pakistani curry in which chicken pieces carefully cooked in a tomato based thick gravy with few spices like ginger, garlic , coriander and pepper.Mix vegetables : Served in most of the restaurants this dish was light , colorful and was a healthy mix of vegetables with minimal spices. Tandoor roti and Naan: These traditionally baked breads were soft , spongy and piping hot which were served directly from the tandoor. Chicken Biriyani:. For me imagining a dine-out without Biriyani is something that is impossible. Biriyani is a must have dish in our list. It was very aromatic with balanced mix of spices , chicken pieces and rice which we could feel in each of the grains.Shawarma plate with fries: It was fresh, spicy with perfectly roasted chicken chunks loaded with herbs served with fries and flavourful shawarma pickles.Hot Beverages:Kashmiri Chay: If your are looking for some authentic Kashmiri Chay/tea here it is. There is no artificial color or tasting powder added. Only thing is you need have patience as it will take approximately 15 to 20 mins to get ready after placing order.Ambience is beautiful with quite enough numbers of indoor seating arrangement. Staff were very courteous, welcoming and friendly. The service was quite quick. All the foods served were nicely presented and were up to our expectations.

Located in Cluster N, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dastarkhwan is an eatery owned by two courteous cousins, to serve you yummy Pakistani and Arabic cuisine. I was invited here for a tasting session by them, and enjoyed my experience. The ambiance is pretty decent, with tables and chairs neatly set out. The servers there were polite, friendly and always on their feet to serve us.For the drinks and food, we tried out the following:Salted lassi – thick in consistency, this was served chilled and was refreshing.Orange juice – freshly squeezed, this was sweet and reinvigorating.Aloo tikki – crispy on the outside, with a filling of spiced, mashed potatoes, were soft on the inside. These tikkis were delicious, flavourful and mildly spicy.Non vegetarian mix grill platter – this consisted of mutton sheekh kebabs, lamb botis, chicken malai boti and chicken tikka. The mutton sheekh kebab was succulent, juicy and tasty. The lamb botis were well – made, and the chicken malai boti and chicken tikka were soft, flavourful and delectable.Shawarma – served with garlic paste and pickles, soft chicken wrapped with garlic sauce in a thin bread was flavourful and yummy.Bhindi masala – cooked well with sufficient spices and necessary ingredients, this dish was perfectly made. What we liked was that the bhindi was soft, not soggy. Definitely a must try.Mix vegetables – semi – dry gravy, the vegetables were well – cooked, and this was palatable to the palate.Lahori daal takda – just right in consistency and flavourful, this was mildly spicy and delectable.Dal makhani – thick in consistency, this too was full of flavours and appetizing.Aloo palak – soft, well – cooked potatoes, were tossed with spinach, and were tasty, mildly spicy and flavoursome.Chana chaat – soft chick peas and potatoes were well – cooked and tasty to munch on.Mutton shinwari – soft pieces of lamb were well – cooked in a tomato gravy and were flavorful.Chicken special kadai – this was my favourite on the table. The server explained that this dish was made in butter and milk, and I found that to be interesting and unique. Made to perfection, soft, boneless chunks of chicken were delicious. The flavours were mild and lovely. Definitely a must try!Chicken biryani – long grain rice were colourful, freshly prepared and were flavourful and spicy. The chicken was soft and well – cooked.Naans – we were served four kinds of naan; garlic, spicy, black sesame seeds and white sesame seeds. They were fluffy, freshly prepared, soft and served warm.Kheer and Kashmiri chai – the kheer was thick in consistency and fairly sweet. The Kashmiri chai, topped with nuts, was a pleasing way to end the meal.Thank you Dastarkhwan team for hosting us. Will definitely come back soon to try other items on the menu.

Ordered from Dastarkhwan for the first time and the food turned out to be super tasty. The restaurant menu is genuinely priced and has good options. The panner masala quantity is too good and taste is different from those usual gravies of restaurants.Bhindi masala is also freshly cooked and tasty. Will try more dishes in future for sure.Follow my blog Abhishek Kumar for more reviews and pictures . #veggiedubai

Tried first time Palak Chicken with Plain Pratha. Pratha was really good and up to the level. Palak Chicken was average not exactly as per its original recipe. Food 4/5Service 3/5Price 3/5
