So we ended up here when one of my colleague recommended it saying that its best Chinese place or authentic, so of course we had to try. The place was packed with Chinese people who have stopped for lunch in groups. Even the staff was mainly Chinese and had another person who spoke English to come and take our order.They serve you with complimentary tea when you place an order. We ordered fried rice and chicken kung pao. Quantity was enough for two people very easily (we ended up three people eating from that). Rice was okay, kung pao chicken was really nice with a lot of small chillis! Food is made at that time only!I would go again and try more options.
Yummy Hot Pot is an authentic Chinese restaurant in Cluster H of JLT. What it lacks in ambience and décor, it makes up for (in abundance) with some of the best Dongbei (Manchurian)-style food in Dubai. You can either go hot pot or for individual dishes. We chose the latter. But be forewarned, in-order to communicate, you’ll either need to speak Chinese or seek out the only English-speaking staff there, a young (always smiling) Filipino boy. Everyone else only speaks Chinese. Do not let this dissuade you from visiting this restaurant – the food is unbelievable.

Had the kungpao chicken, good portion size but nothing outstanding flavour wise. They need to stop advertising ‘wire’ as an ingredient on their menu! Something lost in translation.Update: This place concentrates on servicing the Chinese tourists by the coach loads at lunch time, so must be authentic.
