This is one of the best indo Chinese restaurants we have visited. Service is very good and interior is nice.We started with some drinks strawberry mojito and orange juice, both were refreshing. Then we had crispy vegetables, fried corn, spring rolls, noodles, fried rice and veg manchurian. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. In desserts we had mud cake and date pancake. Both were served with vanilla icecream. Mud cake was soo yummm that we can eat it anytime.Highly recommended and hope to come again soon.
Gypsy Chinese is an Indo-Chinese restaurant. It had a previous branch in The Grand Excelsior Hotel but now they shifted and opened a new location in Karama itself. It’s in a very prime location and the food they have to offer is amazing. Our server for the night was Tosif and he took good care of us.We started our night by having some Hot and Sour Veg Soupthe soup was sour and a little spicy really enjoyed the tasteThen we went onto having some starters like the Crispy Corn Pepper Chilly which was amazing and we also had the Chicken with burnt chilly dry the concept is great and the taste of the dish was amazing and one of the best dishes I had during our evening in the restaurant. We then moved onto having the main courseFor the main course, we ordered the Chicken hot plate and the Hunan VegetableThe chicken hot plate hands down was very delicious the gravy had sort of a tangy taste to it. It wasn’t spicy but the gravy was made properly. The Hunan vegetable gravy was good. The vegetables were crispy which made the dish a delight to have.We also ordered the American Chopsuey. The taste was authentic and cooked well.To mix the gravy with something we Took Veg ming fried rice and Some chilly garlic noodlesIt was the perfect choice with the gravy we had ordered. The Garlic in the noodles was not overpowering which was again a good thing. The Noodles mixed with the gravy was perfect.Overall loved the food the restaurant had to offer and will visit them again in the future. It’s a nice and cozy spot with excellent presentation of the food and authentic flavors.
Had dinner at this restaurant with my wife and a friend, was my favorite back in Mumbai and I was frequent visitor at Shivaji park .. cutting my nostalgia short we ordered Chicken lollipops as starter for main course we ordered a Schezwan fried rice,Chicken Manchurian & Hot garlic noodles for 3 of us. The portions were generous and service was prompt. My ratings for their Karama restaurant:-Service-5/5Ambiance-4/5Value for money-3.5/5Cleanliness-4.5/5Had an awesome experience and a special thanks to Chandrakant Ji for his service.
Rarely do u get tasty Chinese food. Now when I say tasty I ment that tastes differently than the usual Chinese fast food available in Dubai. Everything that we had was not just good but outstanding. A special mention is the sizzling noodles and dynamite chicken. Highly highly recommended.
One place where you can enjoy some desi Chinese food . Located on the happening streets of Karama , this place can be easily located. The ambience and services both were nice Let’s see what we tried Veg Lemon corriander soup – this was a must try . Full of flavours and a great option for winters Crispy hoisin vegetables- These were pretty good and tasted well with the sauces Veg spring roll – These were average , could have been better Crispy corn – This was a must have. Perfectly cooked and had the right crisp that was required. Veg hot plate – A very nice blend of vegetables in assorted sauces , a great gravy option to have with noodles or rice . Veg ming fried rice – One can’t go wrong with the fried , something you can blindly order and enjoy . Choc Mud cake – A chocolate lovers delight , if you have the craving for chocolates you shouldn’t miss it sesame honey darsaan – Though looks like a simple dish but tasted absolutely amazing with ice cream. A must try.
A restaurant that serves Indo-Chinese food, I like their Dynamite chicken, I enjoyed eating it. Juicy chicken mixed with spiciness without worrying that it will be too spicy. Another dish that i like is the sauteed wonton, full of flavour. The taste of butter and the fragrance of spring onion is amazing. I also appreciate the staff who welcomed me warmly and assisted me properly.
Gypsy Chinese is a place I’ve frequented for the last 8-9 years or so, ever since it was in Dhow Palace under the managerial leadership of Jai, and I loved it back then. But I’m sad to say, the taste of the food is not the same, and they definitely don’t have an understanding of the word “Chili” or “Spicy”. We ordered for the Burnt Chili Garlic Chicken and the Chicken Chili Garlic Noodles, both of which actually lacked taste, leave alone the taste of chili or garlic. The Chicken Lollipop was still a lot better, and is till date one of my favourite. Also, the service was quite slow.
