We visited for dinner but the food is quite disappointing . The two points goes for hospitality. Food quality is below average with Dhokla not soft , samosa coating thick , flavor and combination of spices in veg dishes poor and overall the taste of food is not appreciating . It ranks with the average restaurants so it looks the place is overrated may be for the environment which great , interior good and staffs really hospitable . But the essence which is food quality is missing

Rasoi Ghar : A Rajasthani Royal restaurant licated at Karama within a walkable distance from Burjuman centre which serves pure vegetarian dishes with Jain food options. My first ever visit was for a tasting session with fellow bloggers to try their WAH WEDNESDAY special King – size thali with unlimited filling option which was rated at AED 49/-. We were welcomed in a royal style with refreshing drink Jaljeera with boondi. It was followed by appetiser platter which included Moong dal dokla, Spring roll, Dal Bati churma along with spicy green chutney and sweet dates chutney. The spring roll was crispy and yummy. Dal bati churma was awesome.Followed by this was a huge steel thali of main course which included -Variety of veg delicacies – Paneer dum flower, Bhindi sambhariya, Jaipuri ghatta, Marwadi dal, Gujarati dal, Marwadi kadhi, Gujarati kadhi.Breads – Satpadi roti, Puri and Phulka.Rice – Plain white rice, Hariyali pulao, Khichadi and curd rice.Jaipuri ghatta was very delicious and was a good combination with piping hot roti and puris. Hariyali pulao was aromatic and was my favourite. Once we done with the main course, we were served Indian desserts on a nicely presented wooden platter which had Ghevar with rabdi, Malai Gulab jamun and pineapple halwa. Even though all the items were very delicious with mouth watering distinct taste, pineapple halwa was the one which I liked the most and had a refill as well.Ambience was excellent with interiors beautifully decorated like a royal palace and seating arrangement was superb with ample space. The staff were very courteous, friendly and kept insisting on us to refill from start to end. There was continuous refilling of butter milk through out.Their pickles and variety of Khakharas are available online on their website.A must visit place to have royal dining experience and I’ll definitely visit again to try their other dishes.

Mediocre thali, except for a few desserts. Courteous staff.

Visited this place on Diwali and even though we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to be seated , every moment was worth the wait. Absolutely amazing thali experience here and would definitely want to visit this place again for more.

Last week when I went to Maharaja Bhog and came out slightly disappointed, I still looked forward to Rasoi Ghar and its food because frankly I liked what they served at their stalls in Zabeel park. So today I went to Rasoi Ghar opposite Burjuman, I was quite excited but slightly taken aback when I got to know that they only serve a set Thali and no a la carte. We had the thali at this aesthetically designed fine dine that offers seating on a conventional dining table as well as on the floor, just like the old times. Instead of Pani Puris they had a starter plate with a very bland paneer spring roll which was ok since it was hot, a tasteless white dhokla and dahi wada which was the only moderately tasty dish on that plate. They served us 2 drinks – labaan and a juice, both quite below average. Then came the main course, 4 sabziz, 3 dals, an assortment of rotis, puris and theplas, 2 sweets, basundi and 4 kinds of rice. Quite elaborate- you would think but except for the suji ka halwa which was amazing nothing else was exceptional or even above average. The rotis were hot but dry and rough, dals were all cold and not authentic in thier taste, ditto for the subzees except for the paneer one which no one can really go wrong with. The jalebi was fried in some really really bad oil, the papads had gone soft and the biryani was salt less and tasteless. Most of these thali places fill your stomach with soda rich foods and Rasoi Ghar is no exception. But I must mention their staff is extremely courteous and nice and their service is impeccable. No complaints there plus they do have great ambience but it’s the quality and taste of the food that left me totally dejected. At 49 AED a thali this one is priced at par with the other fine dine thali restaurants but I would much rather have my own Rasoi at in my own Ghar. Thank You Very Much

The place is known for its famous Gujarati Thali.Lots of Gujarati and Rajasthani style vegetables..Liked each one of them.U will be welcomed by a refreshing juice(water melon in our case) as soon as you are seated. Somebody to help you wash the hands on the table in conventional open style for Royal guests.Mini platter of starters: Dal with Batasa, Dhokla and small Fried tikki..just prepare you for the massive but heart filled thali.Small portions but staff are frequent on the table to keep you interested. Also desserts: 3 of them just don’t stop relishing them.Overall a delicious and sumptuous treat : a big competitor to all different styles of Thali available in Karama.
