We asked for the chef’s special course meal, and enjoyed each and every dish. Very authentic Japanese food –which is expected as the head chef is Japanese, and the counter seat we sat at was spacious and very comfortable. I would take any guest looking for pure Japanese experience.
We came for dinner as a big group of 12 people. I can’t say that the food was good. The veggie and shrimp tempura was nice, but the sushi rolls and the miso cod was below average to my taste. The drinks were very basic. They didn’t have lychee martini, the espresso martini was ok. Overall didn’t like the food much. Mochi ice cream was different from typical mochi. The service was good, but the server didn’t know much about the drinks selection.
Guys atleast mention this here on Zomato that the restaurant is closed during Ramadan days. I went there Last Sunday with a solid intentions to try your food at iftar, after we reached there, we have been informed by the Farriers Restaurant people about your “No – Operations” strategy, which was a bit shocked to us. Hope will get a chance to try your food someday so that I can send some review about your food only!
Pretty decent restaurant but nothing special when it comes to anything we ordered. Not very pricey and that’s what it gives an additional half point. Service is good. I wouldn’t go all the way to Meydan to eat there
Came for dinner, they had a promotion of unlimited sushi and dim sum from 7pm to 10.Food came with different varieties but overall it was ok. Staff were friendly and attentive With Hamad and Mohammed Al Sheikh
We visited Shiba to celebrate our parent’s birthdays. Having visited earlier, we knew the service was top class- and this conclusion remained even after this dinner.We started off with Grilled prawn dumpling and Fried steak dumpling- they were very delicious. Seafood hot n sour soup was tasty but a bit on the spicy side. We then followed it with Chinese entrees- Prawns, Kung Pao Chicken, Lamb and beef noodles. The prawns were very tasty, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. However, we were a bit disappointed with the lamb stew as the flavors were a bit off, with over powering cabbage in the rather liquid stew. On the side, we ordered Red Rose, Raspberry Mix and a kiwi drink and they each were flavorful and complimented the food. Our friendly servers brought the cake, followed by Japanese Green tea. They were joyful and prompt, backed up by a very helpful manager. Double thumbs up to the service and ambiance. We might need to try some other dishes to change our mind about lamb options.
Excellent interiors and service at Shiba. The food menu is not as same as the one given here and there is no beverage menu included here (in fact I see for several restaurants beverages menu is not included??). Zomato needs to be up to date on the information provided in the website. We rely on the information you have given before before going to the restaurant hence please ensure you are providing the latest and right details.
