A new bengali restaurant which is probably the closest to the comfort foods of a typical bengali household. I have not seen such an all inclusive variety of menu even in many places in Calcutta.Mr. Kallol Choudhury is the most genuine proprietor with a love for Bengali cuisine from his heart. He is settled in Assam, but his six chefs are from proper Bengal. They have many signature items which are intuitive variations as well as the age old classics.The restaurant is having a decent classy style with good options for seating. They do arrange a wonderful buffet on every fridays, at probably the cheapest rates of 45 dhs, inclusive of vat, with changeable items of the delicious items.I have been on the first day when there was a humongous crowd and even later, when the steady streams of diners followed. They opened on 1st November and within this one month, they have become quite popular.As an ala karte, I have taken home as parcel, many items together.•I would particularly like to mention, the fish fries, sukto, radhaballavi, dal,begun bhaja moshla diye, thor bhapa, narkel aar chingri diye mocha, aloor dom, Basanti polau, mochar chop, chitol mach er peti, katla mach sorshe bata diye, kosha mangsho, payesh and chutney.•They have a made to order systems also, if the item is not in their menu.•They are doing catering too.•Roshogolla’r Roshomoni is one of their interesting item.Generally it’s seen that some restaurants do the starters better, some do the vegetarian items better, and some others specialise in non vegetarian items.•But this is an unique restaurant where almost all types of items are done in a top class manner, which suits every person with different tastes.They also cater north Indian foods which I am yet to taste.The price point has been kept at a very reasonable rate within 15-25 dhs for most of the items.Service is quite fast and you get everything fresh and of the highest quality.•Overall I am very happy with the overall arrangement and I am trying to visit at least once in every week.Recommended for all whole heartedly.
