Went to handi restaurant today to celebrate my sisters birthday, we were a pax of 7 and we choose handi cuz its relatively empty usually and the food is good. Ordered the following dishes:Butter chciken 3/5One more chicken gravy the name has skipped my mind though Sabzi 2.5/5Mutton Biryani 4/5Chicken biryani 4/5Gosht Qorma awadhi (3.5/5)Roti basketThe food was definitely good, tasty, perfect blend of masalas and decent proportions and would come back for the food. My only feedback would be about the following:Roti for 20dhs is a rip off, i have dined out at fine restaurants and no one can justify that price for a naan, not even handi. Thats crazy! Secondly, Music when we got in was way too loud and couldn’t understand a word of what the guy was singing, it was only towards the end 30mins that a better singer came along and sang stuff we understood and liked.Lastly and most importantly the service, quite inadequate i must say considering the restaurant was almost empty. We were fed papars for almost 40minutes as the order took really long, the waiter was so very clumsy, he not only dropped the cluttery but also hit my brother with a knife on his face (by mistake ofcourse but not justified cuz he hit him pretty hard cuz of his clumsiness) I asked him twice to get me the wifi password and we were there for almost two hours and they just ignored my request. Found that pretty rude! He was friendly & only seemed a little sensible while serving the food but other than that the guy needs more training. We will go back again for the food but hopefully the above points will be addressed by then.

One of the most misleading ratings of zomato. We ordered hara bhara kabab and they gave us a mush of raw mashed spinach with nuts and claimed it was the best kebab in UAE. I couldn’t eat it. Then I ordered the chefs speciality gravy and it was just a common gravy which you get in any given Indian restaurant. The romali roti was very good. Ambience was good and staff was polite thats about it. The serving quantity is very less. Didn’t feel like I actually had lunch. Moreover I got stomach upset which is very astonishing from such a restaurant. Overall, terrible experience. Would not suggest. They really need to improve and there is always scope for improvement.

This place serves complete Indian cuisine. We tried their mutton Awadhi biryani as recommended by Indian master chef – Muhammed Rasheed Quraishi and it’s was amazingly delicious. The mutton was cooked properly and was very soft. One of the best Indian food in Dubai. Highly recommended. Also they play live Hindi music which added hue to the ambience. The Restaurant manager Mr. Marcel was very welcoming. ❤️Lastly we had rasmalai which was mouth watering.
