You have multiple choices and buffet is best option. Nice cosy place to break bread in the morning with hot coffee, Indian and Continental options. People of many nationalities will be around but you enjoy eating there.
I am a regular at this place for over a decade and in love with their crab curry and appams, awesomely delicious. Lots of other chicken and fish dishes are great too. Very polite & friendly staff ! Keep it up guys !!!
Worst food & disgusting service.I ordered schezwan fried rice & Crispy veggies.Received order in like 1:45hours with some smelly pale rice and boiled carrots and tomato pcs.Has anyone ever seen white schezwan rice & a tomato in crispy veggies dish?Above that they have an explanation that their recipes are exclusive and they delivered perfect food.Cancel the license of this so called kitchen which yields food like this.Disgusting!!!
I have been visiting this restaurant since ages. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to our requests since we were regulars. We ordered a few beers and Natholi fry to start with.. It was a spicy dish with plenty of flavor.For main course I decided to try their combo or Puttu(Steamed rice flour) with Beef Curry. It was a very good choice.. This restaurant is quite popular among families from Kerala. They have a separate section for families which is lit better than rest of the restaurant.
Was disappointed on my last visit to Kalavara in Nihal Hotel for lunch yesterday’s with my family. Zomato shows a 15% discount on F&B with an ADCB credit card. But the staff there and the manager of the restaurant claim they aren’t aware of this discount and says it’s not valid. I showed them the promotion mentioned on Zomato but still they said there is no such discount offer. And the same has happened for the 2nd time with me in Kalavara. The restaurant shouldn’t be promoting such discounts if they aren’t ready to honour the same. I think it’s just a promotion stunt by the restaurant and that’s just not accepted. Now that it’s happened 2nd time with me, we for sure are not going there ever and will inform my friends and known people on such false promotions too.
Good restaurant in Rigga with food and Drinks.Not very crowdy and noisy.Food we ordered is Fish curry ,Appam and Beef fry.Food and service is Good.Sure wil visit again
Best decision to have ordered a full fledged onam sadhya for 25 odd people from kalavara!! A feast so original , authentic and deliciously nostalgic of traditional Malayali sadhya. The paripu curry, palada paysam, pullinji, rasam were to die for. Away from Kerala, this was one of the best ways to evoke festivities at home with friends who are family..Your hassle free culinary arrangement complete with utensils to serve and banana leaf to eat from added much warmth and love..Thank you kalavara for making our onam memorable!!
