Haida is a small Iranian sandwich shop beside the Carlton Hotel on the Baniyas main road. It’s been around for years and is popular throughout the Baniyas neighbourhood, and has something of a cult following with the Iranian community. And that’s because, in addition to serving value for money sandwiches, Haida serves sandwiches Tehran style – baguettes filled to the hilt with cold cuts, mayo, pickles and topped with crushed chips – yum. What the two-table-tiny interior lacks in space, their sandwiches make up for in size and taste. Service is…um, fast. Worth a visit…to take away.Waste NOT. Very famous among Iranian community as its well-known chain of cold sandwich outlets in Iran. Their clients are mostly Iranian or Russian. Very filling with big baguette breads, salami slices (different type), potato sticks & mayo. Not bad to have it time to time.
Haida is the Iranian equivalent of Subway Except that the sandwiches are pre made with no options and that the cold cuts used are produced by Haida in Iran. The location itself is easy to find with parking being a little tricky, Although you could dine in I wouldn’t prefer it. With it’s affordability it’s a nice option to try once and a must go if you are Iranian.
