Headed to old Dubai with family today late in the night and we really wanted some Chinese food, thankfully this place is open till 2AM. I just got done with my dinner and I was pretty impressed! With regard to quality of food and service it was so good! We couldn’t dine in Oriental so we had to dine in Taste since there was a party there. The person that attended us was Mr.Bishwaroop and he was the most sweetest guy ever and we were very happy with his service! With regard to the food :-Hot Pot Soup Seafood DimSumSizzling Duck Oriental Malaysian Crispy Beef Prawn Hakka Noodle Fusion Fried RiceI really liked everything we ordered it was really good, except the fried rice I felt that it was too dry.But the rest were great! With regard to the quality of prawn, beef and duck it was good. Usually some places the duck tends to be very hard to chew but the duck was nice and tender! The flavors for the dishes were perfect, not to spicy it was just right! The quantity is good, we were 3 people and it was very filling! Overall I would recommend you to visit this place! Ambience:- 4/5Food :- 4/5Presentation :- 4/5Value for money :- 5/5Shany approves✅
I visited oriental during my Dubai visit for buffet lunch. To start with its inside ravis hotel with good interior accompanied by bar. The buffet lunch consisted of veg and nonveg northindian dishes and all were authentically prepared. I really liked the food and its a good place to visit in bur Dubai. Cheers!!
their food is good .I like this place .
Oriental is right across FGB bank set up on Mezanine floor tucked deep in Ravize Hotel. At 2330 Hrs on a friday the restaurant was empty, as it lacked visibility from all angles. We were the only ones at The Oriental that night, the service was fantastic right from the word go with a smile and attention throughout the experience. We went for the 5 course orient meal, after flooding atleast 5 promotional menus on the table. It was too much for the asking & could make anyone go confused.Anyways in the 5 course, it was only the apletizers of chicken satay and chicken dumplings that stood out real well. The peanut sauce and the raw tomato spicy sauce accompanying them complemented real well. The vietnamese crispy lamb was another well done dish. The tequilla chilli spiced mocktail sent fire down our throats but was refreshing. The salads were a put off, the thai shrimp and the tom yam salad were a regular affair. The main course of fusion and schezuan fried rice lacked spice, salt, flavors. The pad thai noodles did not look thai pad at all, nor there were an oriental touch to the sauces, no blend at all! All the main courses had loads of eggs used and everything looked and smelt the same except for the color. The food could neither be eaten through our eyes nor through our nose cause it did not mell good either. Even the desserts were a disaster with lychee icecream (frozen lychees topped up on vanila iced* cream because of the icicle formation), and i could taste the powdered texture of the so called mango mousse. If i ever go back its gonna be only & only for front service, dumplings, satay appetizers, beer and mocktails. Please let your chef know about the dissapointment, we had high expectations and i had to fall flat on my face for my wifes birthday treat. Hope you guys turnaround and concentrate on what you do best, all the best!
My Malaysian tongue has truly been tantalized. Highly recommended. We ordered several dishes and all of them were good. Staff are also very accommodating.
Good food.Service was lacking but food made up for the service. The restaurant needs a bit of light up and music which would add value. Again great food did it.
