Very overrated and overpriced, the live music is so bad and noisy. The food is just ok but when the bill comes you will feel the scam. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone since you can go somewhere better to enjoy your night and food with half price
Massively understaffed! To place an order we waited 30 minutes, for the bill we waited another 20. If you want to add something after your main course has arrived chances are there will be no body to assist you! Food was alright but not worth the wait! Go there for a lazy sheesha! Matches with the speed of service.
One of the best places to visit be it for formal dinners or romantic outing. The ambience is fantastic and the live music simply tops off the night after a sumptuous dinner. Haven’t tried their sheesha though. Service is good and I felt my money well spent.
This is a classy place with Arabic music. Quite loud in fact. If you’re seated inside then you can hardly talk. Mostly people come here to enjoy the music. They have outside seating too. There the music isn’t loud; but calling a waiter is a bit of a problem. They have amazing shisha. I had the lemon mint one. It was smooth and the coal needed to be changed just once in a span of over an hour. The ambience outside is lovely. famishedexplorer.com
I tried this place when one of my mentors in my profession came to Dubai for the first time. I was showing them around the city and took them here for dinner.Although it was an indoor restaurant, it’s theme genuinely provides real arabic setting. We really love the authentic arabic grill complimented with cool music and a belly dancing show. The service is excellent. Since we are not so familiar with arabic food, the waiter (my apologies for forgetting his name) is so nice he basically gave an introduction to almost every item we pointed in the menu.I will surely bring other friends in this place. It is worth visiting again!
Great place, service and food! I just picked it a bit random and I never regret that. Went for a set menu and the taste, variety and quantity was overwhelming!Belly dancer was there which added to this whole atmosphere.I recommend this place for a great experience
If you live Arabic food with a lovely ambience then Awtar is the place to go. They have a belly dancer after 10pm Daily if you fancy it with a set menu offering. From 7:30pm to 9pm or so, the menu is ala carte and you may notice the prices typical of the five star Grand Hyatt target market, however the quality of the food and service is impeccable. It’s a great place to go with friends and family to share food and for those who like to shisha the quality is above average and well worth the price. The service is one of the best you will find for an Arabic restaurant and I bet you being a non-arab expat in UAE, there is no other Arabic restaurant that have staff make you feel welcomed they way they do and I hope they stick to that being consistent to all their guests. My favorite is the usual hot mezze items like hummus with meat, Laham Ras asfour, freshly baked pitas, fattoush, and the main menu items like baby grilled chicken, grilled prawns, and of course the mixed grill. Definitely my top restaurant for quality Arabic cuisine.
