One of the finest and freshest ice cream I have ever had in my life.Stick house is a place where it serves ice creams in different and unique variations and has amazing coffees.I took the chocolate ice cream stick dipped in chocolate sauce with hazelnuts. And the taste of the ice cream was just oolalala.I also orders a orange sorbet stick which was just excellent. It’s made of fresh fruit and has natural sweetness in it. I really loved the cappuccino here. It was smooth, frothy and strong and immensely satisfying — just as I like it! The place is known for gelato sticks but I did not try them. I did however try the lollipop (called pearls) priced at AED 3 and that was just enough to satisfy my sweet craving. It was bite sized, but nice. Apparently all natural ingredients which has got to make you feel less guilty about eating all that! :)Hilljoy, the girl who prepared my coffee served me with a smile on her face. All in all, skip the StarBucks next door and try the coffee here. Its divine.
They used to have a kiosk in the Ibn Batuta mall food court. Was our favorite dessert after all the other sinful tuck. Wonder why it was shut down? After a long time I see a bigger outlet in Wafi mall food court and had to have it! There seems to be few new additions but I stuck to my favorite Avocado plain and my daughter her milk dipped in chocolate. Great tasting and healthier frozen dessert. I don’t like too sweet desserts so this is great for me as it’s got the right amount of sweetness. The ingredients used are natural and healthy. I wonder why such a concept is not popular? Have people killed their taste buds with insane artificial flavors so much that they don’t like the real anymore? As a person who loves to cook and experiments all such things I have an idea of the goodness. The extra sugary toppings should be avoided.
Delicious coffee gelato dipped in dark chocolate. One of the most delicious ice cream treats in Dubai. The coffee gelato is not too sweet, nor is the dark chocolate. That’s what makes it stand out.
When the Wafi newsletter dropped into my in-box last week I learnt about a new gelato that had opened its doors in one of my favourite Malls. I am not a massive fan of ice cream but loved the idea of a gelato on a stick, and the photographs were extremely tempting, so we headed down to Wafi to check Stickhouse out. For once I wasn’t dragging the child kicking and screaming.The outlet is pretty big and very bright and clean with lovely white tables and chairs givingan altogether cool feel to the place. There are a few big fridges displaying an array of gelatos on sticks! yes on sticks. They have fruit sorbet, creamy gelato, cupido, cheesecake and yogurt on sticks with prices starting at just 10 AED. The concept is unique to the UAE, basically you choose your gelato, then you can have it dipped into white, milk or dark chocolate. After choosing your chocolate dip you then have a choice of topping from almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios or shredded coconut. The chocolate dip costs 2 dhs and the toppings 3 dhs each. All the gelatos are 100% natural and additive free and relatively healthy if you don’t go getting them dipped in chocolate.How was the ice-cream? fabulous! absolutely gorgeous, I had a coffee gelato dipped in dark chocolate with hazelnuts, my husband had the hazelnut gelato dipped in dark chocolate with hazelnuts (sheep) and Mitten opted for a double mango and raspberry sorbet.
