Friendly staffs. Great and relaxing view to have a glass of Alcohol on sunset or at night time. Calm place and not crowded. Recommended to visit it if you are in Dubai specially you have so many restaurants around to visit later on and have a walk.
Great setting near Burj al Arab for after dinner stroll. Booked for birthday dinner for 2 (informed booking staff to see if could get desert organised they said was subject to availability – shows lack of planning on their part never heard that in any other dubai 5* restaurant) and got sat halfway in halfway out. Issue there is lack of lighting to see menu. Inside they have overhead lights outside they have table lights but in middle you’re sat in dark and can’t read anything. Sat down and immediately get gin trolley sales pitch, bit overwhelming so fast, overzealous waiter in other ear. Ordered surf and turf which was pretty lame considering the prices. Bread selection and exotic butters was great. Chateaux briande is supposed to be an occasion carved at table for that money. Was some mediocre warmish steak slices and ‘lobster’ was more small crayfish which was chewy and rubbery , they should ask Westin where they buy theirs. One of the fish slices was river fish, tasted like the cheap Vietnamese catfish you get frozen in supermarket that tastes of river mud – that’s not surf and turf chef should be ashamed. Wine was brought in ice bucket but ended up pouring it myself after long wait for any action. No mention of birthday by any staff, I apologised to partner who suggested going home for more food. Overall defintiely not rated amongst Dubai’s best restaurants in same price range. Wouldn’t go back and told colleagues likewise. Nice location though.
Its an interesting place for seafood lovers. Sashimi, braised beef, garlic prawns and many more.. Seated buffet with many food combinations. Must try
Ambience is super. Restaurant is situated close to the beach and has the view of burj al arab. Its a bit of a walk from hotel’s reception but its a good way to get rid of the calories you’re about to consume or consumed. Perfect restaurant for family friends and couples (perfect restaurant for everyone, in short). They have an outdoor seating which is a great opportunity to take advantage of Dubai’s nice weather. Food is Super. If you love seafood then this is heaven for you. Im an island girl so its like a piece of home in a bowl. My personal fave? Lobster Risotto (im allergic to lobster but its so good it didn’t stopped me) and Tuna with Truffles. They also have this salmon with apple shavings of which reminded me of ceviche back home. The sweetness of apple balances out the acidity. You can also tell and taste that seafood is fresh. Its like the fishing boat docked in front of the restaurant. Also, Don’t get fooled by the portion of the food, flavors are so intense, its like fireworks over your palate- you can have it for sharing (no kidding, unless you want to glut then go ahead). Service wise 11/10. Staff were very friendly and spot on.
An amazing view and food. buuuuut service was not perfect. Especially after the greetings i have ordered sparkling water, they served after 10 min.
Too pricey! The starters didn’t seem fresh. The mussels which we got at the starters weren’t fresh at all and they weren’t clean. The service was too slow, we had to wait forever to get the food and the dessert was terrible.
