My favourite steakhouse in Dubai. I’ve been to their restaurant in Manchester many times, and Amsterdam before it became CAU.Great place for a cocktail too with good happy hour offers. This was a delicious steak with side salad, buttery mash and a delicious dessert. More pricey than some places but everything here is first class. Service and decor is flawless always.
Must visit place for meat lovers . We had a beautiful evening at gaucho, went with churrasco de ancho and lomo Medallion steak cooked to perfectly, right flavour and balance . The meat was so juicy and tender melts in your mouth. Also tried their truffle Mac and cheese .
We have a habit of checking out highly rated places for having steak. We picked Gaucho for my birthday dinner and I was super excited to go!Before I review the food, a few things as suggestions/inconveniences we came across:We had a hard time spotting the place even using google maps, being the first visit, ended up passing by this place and having to come by another round- there’s no board/signage outside and Gaucho is located under the building. Another issue was that we got there at 7.50pm, which was 10 mins before their happy hours ended but on asking if we can order drinks in happy hours, they told us that drinks would be served only in the bar for happy hours, the bar being only a few steps away from where they sat us down. That was a turn off.Having zomato gold, we quite use it for exploring fine dining restaurants and Gaucho also has 1+1 on food. Having gone to a few other places, what surprised us was that we could only use the gold on limited items on the menu- so we ended up having to scour the menu cos what we had in mind didn’t come under the gold. So if you are gonna go wanting to have Wagyu using zomato gold, well you can’t!The drinks are quite overpriced IMO.Also, they don’t have a better steak knife than the one that’s already on the table, cutting into our steak with that was quite hard. These are the few things I quite felt disappointed about. Now, coming to their pros!!They have valet parking, free for 2 hours I think, big thumbs up!We were served by Brando, he was very helpful and enlightened us quite on the menu when we were confused on what to order. What I didn’t like however was how the waiter(don’t know his name) who spilled water right onto my menu as I was checking it, while pouring it into the glass, didn’t even have the courtesy to apologise!Their complimentary basket of bread and the dip was so yummy that we ended up asking for a second round of bread! So delicious !They didn’t have Long Island Iced tea on the menu, but they were kind enough to take the order for the same.Coming to what we ordered – having picked this place specially to try Wagyu, we had to settle for their Argentine cuts – Churrasco de ancho & Chorizo. We were told these steak cuts are marinated in parsley, olive oil & garlic for 48 hours prior to grilling. Both the steaks were so yum and it was very filling too! I have no words for how delicious the steaks were ! We didnt know what sauce to order to go with it, so they gave us all 3 in small bowls to taste them all and I’d recommend the mushroom sauce if you like it mildly spiced! We also had their mashed potatoes for sides and it was more salty than I would have liked it to be.Considering the prices, it’s not a regular eat out place but would definitely go there to celebrate.
