We recently dined at Nellara and tried a few of the new additions to their menu. for the starters we really loved the Nellara chicken starter which was crispy and thinly sliced chicken with onions and capsicum. We also tried the VANJIKKAARAN which was displayed on a boat. The prawns had a nice coconut flavour however I wish there was a better dipping sauce to go with this dish. The ELANEER NIRACHATH which was essentially a prawn curry served in a fresh coconut went very well with the white rice, it should be noted this dish can easily be shared with 3 people. The coconut has a nice thick gravy and is very filling. As always, their old classics have truly remained classics i.e their meals and biryani, still have the home cooked flavour and is easy on the pocket too. beingrandomrachael.com
