This place is a hit and miss. Sometimes the food is really tasty, other times it’s not that great. Some days the food tastes just like it does back home, but sometimes the food contains too much oil, too much chilli or too much salt. It would be good if this restaurant becomes more consistent taste wise. Price wise and quantity wise it’s good as the prices are not too high and the quantity is usually just right for one or two people so that no food is ever wasted.
Roast chicken string hopper koththu at aed16 was very good value. Portion size is very good and the koththu was filled with lots of roast chicken. Godamba roti at aed 1.50 per piece was excellent. 2 or 3 of those is enough for one person. I ordered 4 which was too much and surprisingly it came with a dhal curry as well. The egg roti at aed 3 per piece was not so good.On a separate occasion ordered rice and curry for lunch. One with beef curry and one with fish ambultiyal. Unfortunately the quality and qualities of the vegetable curries was not good at all. Will not order rice and curry from here again.
