The weather was good so I thought let’s drive down somewhere where I can sit and enjoy the food. Came across this restaurant Khaana Peena, conveniently located in Al Madina shopping centre. This restaurant has only outdoor seating & was crowded with people. It shows how much people are enjoying the food here.We ordered for Kismat shake, it was a nice blend of Mango, banana, apple & jaggery water, topped with fresh pomegranate seeds. Malabar Corn salad, had fresh mangoes cubes, corns n onion slices. This was something unique & tasted really good.Hamour tawa fry is not to be missed, the whole fish is very well marinated, fried to perfection with a nice tadka of curry leaves. It was absolutely droolworthy & i can visit n number of times just to have it. Same goes for Hyderabadi Fish biryani, excellent taste, the king fish in it was so fresh. We even had Prawn mango curry & the chicken curry, both went so good with dosas & the Malabar parathas.For dessert we had Ada, freshly prepared there. It is my favourite kerala dish. The highlight was the unexpected Fried icecream on a bed of crunchy cornflakes, easily one of the best we tasted here. The coating was so delicious & the amalgamation of the tasty coat, mango icecream & cornflakes is the best dessert to have after a scrumptious meal.Service was excellent, ample parking space right in front of the restaurant. Do visit !!!
