A friend and I were driving by University City to find a nice place to satiate a sweet tooth craving. I’d recently spotted a couple of posts on Instagram about Deema Cafe so decided to give it a shot. We opted for the Chocolate Pancakes (which the server recommended as the best seller), and the Karak Chai Pancakes. We expected the chocolate pancakes to be covered with some nice sauces or Nutella, but they were just two small pancakes with a few chocolate chips in them. They were too dry and had nothing chocolaty about them at all; we were disappointed with them.The Karak Chai Pancakes were stacked on top of a tumbler of iced chai, and these tasted good. The chai itself was ordinary, but the pancakes had a subtle taste of chai and were soft and nice. Overall, I found this place to be a bit overpriced, at approx DHS 30 per dish, which consisted of just two small ordinary pancakes. The staff were pretty friendly, and the Restaurant itself is decent.

The decor is very cute and comfortable.We had deema special. Which is a refreshing drink served with ice and pancakes fixed in a straw.
Deema means rainy cloud without thunder and they have a coffee which depicts deema. A cotton candy on top of a cup of coffee was really impressive. The steam from coffee melts the cotton candy to something similar to rain. The sight was so beautiful and we couldn’t have enough of it.Their Spanish Latte and Spanish Mint Latte were equally very refreshing.Chai Karak Pancake which was served on a straw. This was something unique and I loved the way how it tasted. It had saffron and cardomom on top of it.Tried their Matcha Tea as well. Not a tea lover but this was something I will come back for.Pancakes were very delicious. Cinnamon Pancakes were stuffed with cinnamon chips and this was the best I could have.I am not a Pistachio person and I had bad experience with it elsewhere but surprisingly ‘Deema Cafe’ serves one of the best pistachio pancake. It was stuffed with pistachio as well. They even do pancake art which is surprisingly good.Final Verdict: A very calm and beautiful cafe for all coffee and dessert lovers.
Deema Cafe did not just have beautifully crafted drinks and food but amazing flavors as well. The moment you step inside the coffee shop the coffee aroma is just so inviting you would want to order more and more.. We have tasted quite a lot of drinks and none of them disappointed me. Pistachio pancake was just love ❤️. The richness of its sauce combined with fresh cream is just perfect. They did not overdo it. As for coffee, their unique specialty coffee was a tease.. it was too beautiful to look at we just stared at it whole time and almost forgotten our main purpose of going there is to drink and not look at it.. Good job to the owners who have carefully thought of innovative ways to make the coffee interesting. Fully recommended!
Good quality desserts, especially the pancakes. They are well stuffed with small pallets such as cinnamon, caramel, and chcolate chips. They’re good on their own that they dont even require syrup. illy coffee accompanies the desserts for a great tasting caffeine boost. And finally, everything is served with a big friendly smile. Would definitely visit again.
Amazing cafe, it has everything you could possibly want, near parking, wifi, nice drinks, affordable prices, toilet, you can play with the card and board games that they have or you can get your own they don’t mind you playing, they even have TV screen with BeIn sports subscription so you can come and watch any match you want, you can ask the staff to give you the tablet and you can play any song you want in the shop itself, basically the place is just for you, they have electricity so you can come and study or work and plug your laptop, the staff is friendly and cooperative.I ordered spanish latte, it was very tasty.
Great service and food ..excellent mojito ..Pancake was well presented .would recommend if looking for a quite place for family n coffee time
