The first thing we tried from this restaurant was their samosas. Unfortunately, they were far from being good. The stuffing was extremely spicy and not anything like you get at other places. Besides being spicy, the stuffing didn’t taste good as well. Bad experience overall.

Amazing spicy food. Best option for veggies. Value for money. Hygiene can be much improved. Plus they need to come up with more food options and also some thing on entertainment- TV or music
Somnath being a Gujarati join is know of it’s Thali (limited or unlimited). I wouldn’t be able to comment on other items on the menu.Talking about Gujarati thali, 6 chappatis with 2 curries, curd and haldi and chilli powder dal (not Gujarati Dal, mind you)If you really want to taste their Gujarati Dal (the best I have ever had) with the Gujarati speciality Undhiu, should visit on Mondays. Other days u get the other dal what I mentioned earlier.I would had happily rated the restaurant 4* for the value for money meal and the taste, however the -1* is bcoz of the Curry having too much oil which isn’t normally the case in a Gujarati thalis, not Gujarati dishes are spicy.Ambiance – 3* (humble place like any other Gujarati joint), but this restaurant do not have family area. Nevertheless, have seen families flocking in this restaurant in the evening for a decent Thali.Service – 4* prompt serviceParking is a real problem so if you plan to visit there make sure you don’t drive.
There are a couple of restaurants around my locality that serve Gujrati food like Somnath does, and this isn’t the best of them. However, it isn’t bad either. Their rotis are small and soft, and they have 2 different gravies every day with a dal variety. The food is really affordable and decent.
This place serves really good hot chapatis.However if you plan to have it late,you may find it stiff at the sides.They serve good veg thali,which I would recommend to have it from restaurant rather than to have it delivered.The thali is unlimited and seating arrangements are good.
