We tried their kulukki sherbet, mint lemonade, dragon chicken sizzler, chili cauliflower fried, malayali parota, butter chicken, bamboo stick served biryani and chicken sizzler. The seating is huge, ample and pretty interiors. The waiters are very warm and hospitable. Awesome place to try some authentic malayali food.

A special touch to Malabar food!We visited Malabar Regency in Abu Shagara, Sharjah on a weekday evening. The restaurant is spacious and also has a hall and stage for parties, with a capacity of 150 to 200 people. They serve South Indian and North Indian food as well as international cuisines. We tasted only the South Indian dishes. Here is a review of what we tasted: 1. Beverages: Mint mojito – It was a lovely green color; Blue lagoon – it was a beautiful blue. Both beverages were served chilled and were refreshing. They were presented well but can be improved a bit on taste.2. Prawn coconut fry: It was served hot. It had a balance of South Indian flavors and was tempered with red chillies and curry leaves. The prawns were fresh and the coconut pieces were crunchy.3. Chicken sizzler: It was served sizzling hot on a griddle. The quantity was very large, so it must be shared. The chicken was tender and spicy.4. Fish moilee: This fish curry in coconut milk was very tasty and went well with the soft appams.5. Beef coconut fry: The masala was superb! It tasted typically South Indian. It was tempered with red chillies and curry leaves.6. Chicken chambatta: This was another delicious dish – the chicken was tender and tasty. It was served with a spicy fried egg on top.7. Parathas: Kerala parathas and wheat parathas – both were soft and tasty.8. Thalassery chicken biryani: It was a tasty biryani – not too spicy. It was served with papad, raita and pickle.9. Desserts: The mixed falooda was very heavy as it consisted of 4 scoops of ice cream. It has to be shared. The sizzling brownie with mango icecream was very tasty. The chocolate sauce was smooth. The prices are reasonable and the quantity served is large. The staff is polite and friendly; Mr. Varghese was a good host. The ambience is pleasant. Paid parking is available in the parking lot across the restaurant.Price – 4.5/5Presentation 4.5/5Taste – 4/5Service – 4/5Value for money – 4.5/5Ambience – 4/5OVERALL – 4.2/5Subscribe to our YouTube channel – RipplezzGalloreFollow me on Instagram – @carolmathias17Like us on Facebook – @RipplezzGallore

Was invited here for a tasting, this place serves good malabari cuisine and a definite visit for a good Keralite meal. The fish moilee, beef roast, duck pepper roast, vegetable stew and appams were some of my favourites. Was also serve soft wheat parotats. A definite must try is the fish pollichattu and chicken chembattuWe were also served salads, Indian tandoori and chinese dishes which were not upto mark with exception to the dragon chicken and tandoori panner. The drinks nor the dessert pleased me, the sizzling brownie had too many flavours going on and service was a bit slow but no complaints.
