My rating is based on trying this place twice. I first tried it when they first opened and they didn’t having anything on the menu yet other than cookies but it was okay because they’ve been open for two days or so. My second time was a couple days ago,I opted for the Musakhan Rolls for take away so we can have it for Iftar and it was a big disappointment, it was extremely oily and didn’t take like a proper Musakhan Roll and I’ve been looking forward to trying this place again. I really like the concept behind this restaurant and how personal it is to the chef herself but it isn’t my cup of tea. The ambience is good during day time but from the evening onwards it is very dim and dark.
Oj’s a small place but sells one of the exceptional breakfast meals and highly recommend a sandwich they call Rashid al Naumi (eggs, bread, avocado, lettuce and spices) and other dishes i have been recommended to try by friends.
Great place in Sharjah, their potato salad with bacon, sour cream and chives was exceptional. Their enchiladas was well seasoned and it had perfect level of spice. Their egg tacos and egg curry are my favorite breakfast dishes in Sharjah! Would like to see a bigger desserts!
Cute and cozy with some yummy food. Slightly over priced vs the food quantity. Can do better on the drink option. Over all worth trying the place 🙂
Ojs Neighborhood Eatery is one of my favorite restaurants ever. If there was a Michelin Guide in the UAE this restaurant would be the first to earn three stars. I love all their meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Clearly they use good quality ingredients, and it has a different unique style of food.
My expectation of karak road restaurants and cafes have been pretty inconsistent over the years, with places like Burger & Burger, Caliburger, Zushi and Ginzo St. Bakery raising the bar and Paper Fig, Astoria Burger and Zawaya hurtling the bar. Oj’s raised that bar again with its beautiful decor (when I first saw the interior from a friend’s photos I was shocked that this was on the same karak road I’ve known for years), its friendly and hospitable staff providing complimentary water throughout the meal and delectable home cooked food. The enchiladas were warm, gooey and spicy like Mexican food should be. I was skeptical about the brownie at first (looked dry and for 15 dirhams, not worth it) but it was mouthwatering and full of fudge; I couldn’t savor it enough. Definitely coming here again to try their reputable breakfast!
Good breakfast and great service! U must try the taj mahal egg curry with chapattis ! So yummy ! Lovely ambiance and decorations! So friendly staff and took care about every single detail !
