It was great before, but now just like any Syrian restaurant when they become famous, they downgrade their food quality and upgrade their prices!!! Still, have some good dishes but when it comes to Syrian cuisine, the evaluation should be strict, as the Syrian cuisine is known by the taste & quality, Price (which is affordable to everyone), and Generosity!!! Unfortunately, now they miss all and this is why I sadly rate them 1 star only!!!
So I’m a firm believer that these guys serve the best Shawarma about town. Have tried Laffah, Bilad Alsham, Aroos, et al and of the opinion that when it comes to flavor, Sallora tops them all. The meat is layered with the right amount of garnishes and cooked just right where it’s not too dry or soft.Falafel is also brilliant as is the Fatteh, which is quite different from the regular fare I’ve tried elsewhere. The kababs are succulent as well. The Zaater and fatayer are good for their toppings quality. As for the sweets, Harisa, kunafa, mabrouka and baklava are great wherein it’s not too sweet and with more emphasis on the essences. For some reason, the only the cakes, sweets and bakery items are shown in the menu here. The menu at the restaurant is more varied.
I have been there twice and definitely it was more quite second time since the first time I went there was the third of Eid so it was hectic. The food is good and the ambience is nice and the staff are friendly but unfortunately not trained, the first time I came it was super crowded and they left us there for more than 15 minutes I literally had to stand up and get the menu myself and they took more than it should to take our orders, the staff really seemed lost I believe with a bit of training they can get better, my experience in the second time was better but still some small details showed me how they do need a training. At the end I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This was the place where we with our friends used to visit there for their cheesecake, tiramisu cake, felafel and also their amazing chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma was too long and filling. The shawarma had the authentic arabic flavours. The pastries were obviously one of the finest dishes of this place.
