Not up to standard of a 5 star hotel. Just a regular road side Chinese with ordinary ambiance and regular food. There are tons of better Chinese with better price is available in the vicinity
Chinese is something I on a general note have really not tried much. And wanted to try something new today, so went to this restaurant. The interior is clean and neat, attentive waiting staff and even for a Friday evening, it was empty. Kinda shocked at that, since the food was so good. Easy to read menu, with details mentioned clear. The staff was helpful and helped us choose some of the dishes. So we started off with Sweet Corn Veg Soup. As starters we had Vegetable Spring Roll and Honey Pepper Chicken Wings. For the main course we had a few portions of steamed rice, Hakka Stir Fried Chicken Noodles, Chicken in Cashew nuts, Hot and Sour Chicken and Chicken in Mild Garlic Sauce. We did not have dessert. All of the dishes tasted well, not too spicy and seasoned perfectly. The food came by quickly and as we finished one course, the next one was ready. The price will not break your wallet and is considerably cheap considering that it is inside a five star hotel. Overall, it is a must visit if you like Chinese food and prefer quiet spots.
Staff not in uniform. Old fixtures and cutlery’s. Plates are melamine. Everything is old!Poor at all levels.Food was below acceptable. Taste is bland, poor presentation. Certainly not the food you expect in a restaurant in a 5 stars hotel, Taste or presentation. The only thing that represents a 5 stars was the prices.Waste of money, waste of time, waste of space.P.S:This use to be a descent Chinese restaurant under different name and different ownership.
I had dine in at this restaurant yesterday with my relative but the main course was not that good and quite tasteless except for the starters and fresh lime soda which were good indeed.
If you want to impress a guest with a 5 star experience : great ambiance, decent service and the frills associated such as valet parking but at a price that is just in line with a mid market downtown restaurant, this is the place to go.Nothing in the world comes for free and you pay a price for everything. Sadly in this case the price you pay is in the form of substandard food. It is generous in portion but sadly lacking in flavor and quality of ingredients used. For me the experience was very underwhelming when we ordered things that required finesse and clean flavors. Example, the veg dumpling which are generally clean and crisp flavored morsels came out looking anemic and tasting of stale oil with hardly any punch of the vegetables in the dumpling. Same was the case with the clear soups. My advice go for robust dishes, such as the strong flavored sir fries and sautes and you would not be disappointed with the food compared to the price. An absolutely average food vise dining experience. The service is good and have never seen the place too full. You get better Chinese food at many places at such price points but the 5 star tag helps in creating an illusion of value.
Great ambience to china town, average service need hospitality training provided by the management, also needs to understand cost cutting on servicing staff is not making benefit., best appetizer is the shrimps grilled toast (as shown in the picture below)
