Once a year atleast , we stay at this hotel and mostly opt for the breakfast! The breakfast choice is not as vast as the other restaurants in UAE ! But should be enough to kick start a fresh day !

Love the foods on the buffet, vegetarian food displays. Sweets are also mouthwatering. Not only the service crew are concerned on you, but even the head of the restaurant, it impressed me a lot. Thank you! Been here twice.

Last night we went to Al Dar located in Sharjah Rotana.Last night they offered two types of soup as a starter. The soups were lentil and cream vegetable.Asif decided to go with his favorite the lentil soup while I decided to try the cream vegetable soup. The vegetable soup was nice and different had chunks of veggies and had even some lemon pieces in my soup. An excellent way to kick start of Iftar last night. The salad bar was nice they had the vine leaves, hummus, Arabic salad, olives, and ect. Asif started with rice, salad, and some corn. He really enjoyed the salad part. Me I decided to try the hummus, vine leaves, cucumber salad and two bread rolls. The hummus was fantastic and I also really enjoyed the cucumber salad. This was defiantly a good start after our soups leading up to our main course.Main course had a lot to choose from mutton curry, mixed vegetables, masala rice, white rice, lamb, beef kebabs, and chicken kebab’s. The absolutely loved the grilled chicken! It was a nice touch to the masala/biryani like rice. The lamb was also nice and tender and was a good dish I think next time they need to have some brown gravy to increase the yummy factor of the lamb and rice. I loved the little empanada’s they were filled with cheese. I am like a cheese love can never have too much cheese even though my scale would disagree. The main course was yummy defiantly geared more towards Indian/Pakistani dishes. The dishes were nice but could have used a little more heat as for me and my hubby love spicy food.If you are able to make it to the dessert section they have the typical Arabic desserts, cake and fruit. The desserts was fantastic!!I loved the chocolate cake, the birthday cake, and the kunafe.Would I recommend this place? Yes, specially if your living in Sharjah and looking for an quite and peaceful Iftar then check out Al Dar.T: (+971) 6 563 7777 or Email: [email protected] tasteofmiddleeast.com
