Friday lunch always has to be special and tasty. We planned for a family lunch at this place suggested by someone. We ordered Afghani pulaw (meat) and mixed grill. The soup came along with Afghani pulaw.1️⃣Afghani pulaw- It wasn’t so special. The raisins were less which is not a good point and also carrot. The meat was soft and yummy. The pulaw was not so tasty. Overall it was eatable and didn’t taste bad.2️⃣Mixed Grill- It had chicken pieces, kebab, meat. It was good in taste. The chicken was dry.3️⃣Chicken Soup- It had tomato in it which did not go well. Usually these soups don’t have tomato sauce in them. It was okay.This place had small compartments for families to sit down in a traditional way and eat. That was good. Just the thing missing was light.
Lots of expectations walking into this place. It had all the makings of an ‘off the beaten path’ trucker stop with amazing food.It could have been the regular stop after a shopping trip at Baracuda Resort.Sadly, it was not to be.The ambience was typical. But the food was below average. Very disappointed. The highlight was the lentil soup that they serve as soon as you sit down. We actually asked for seconds. But the mutton karahi was bland, and the meat smelled. The chicken kebabs were ok, but the meat ones tasted raw.Will have to hunt for other trucker stops in UAQ.

Uncooked meat, not at all chewable. Unpleasant presentation. I was so excited about it but it was such a big disappointment to have oredered a meal from here. Not very good money value, not very impressive menu, not commendable service.
Raw food alert!! Maybe they started new when I visited them so they weren’t as good in taking orders or they are just the way. First, a wrong order and then raw meat in the platter. Literally, it all went to my cats. ladyblablasfoodentures.wordpress.com
