Over priced ordinary pub food served by amateur muppets.Also, way over priced drinks considering all the other watering holes in and around this areaAn arrogant manager with a big chip on his shoulder and less manners than a pig – never before have I known such an ignorant public servant in my life, A small problem arose that he took personally which he refused to talk about and just walked away telling us to pay up and go if we didn’t like things.After all this embarrassment I had to apologize to my visiting American friends who’s trip to England was only spoiled by this clown. Contrary to say we will not be returning.
Lost it.. Good wholesome local produce food but the service has really gone downhill. They have one lady staff who makes Basil Fawlty’s telephone manner seem acceptable. It’s freezing cold in the winter and you’ll probably be seated next to the toilets door. Why they have never closed the dining room toilets off and just left the bar side toilets open during eating hours is beyond me. Has definitely been knocked off it’s top spot by the Riverbank on Trent Bridge.
