Disappointing quality- please don’t serve us ready made food at gastro pub prices. We visited the Bollo for Sunday lunch a few months back with some friends and enjoyed our meal, it was hearty and reasonable. We were therefore really disappointed with our meal this evening- nothing felt like it was freshly made on the premises which you would expect for the prices charged. Our fishcakes came out within about 3 minutes of ordering and looked and tasted distinctly ready made from frozen and my ‘Bollo’ burger at 10.50 was too flat, processed and tasteless to have been home made which is what you would have expected if the pub’s name is attached to it( plus it was an extra 1.00 for cheese or bacon on top). The rib eye at 17 was bland and overpriced. Overall we were really disappointed with the meal as the staff were very friendly and it’s a lovely place, but comparing to the quality of what you can get at other local pubs for the same price, we won’t be coming back.

Had a fantastic roast lunch in the sun. Really friendly staff, great feel at the venue and the food was well portioned and presented. The Bollo can be found in a quiet street which adds a really nice feel though parking would be rather hard in the evenings. Worth a visit.
Very poor decision on the service charge not going to staff… apart from this good food, good pub and great service. Great Pub Great Food Great service… really disappointed to find out that the service charge is not given to the staff but this is in no way made clear.Please make sure you opt out of the automatically added service charge and leave it in cash.Probably wont go back cos it makes me sick to see management treat staff in this way.
