Fresh New and Exciting. FANTASTICThis is what Abduls in Pontefract brings, excellent quality value for money, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. The food is second to none i have eaten in many places and this is one of the best by far.The food is top class and so is the packaging it is all recyclable and you can re use the containers for you microwave (thanks abduls)The choice of food is good and no two dishes are the same. The quality of the ingredients are excellent very fresh. The staff are very freindly and always happy to help, looking good in there Abduls uniform! The place has been refurbished to a high spec which makes it a nice expereince if you want to eat in.Highly recommended i love it.
Dont bother. I have tried both the Wakefield branch of Abduls and the Pontefract branch.Although the packaging, interior and overall corporaae identity of Abduls looks enticing and a modern slant on indian cuisine, they serve what is essentially the SAME curry.I ordered a chicken jalfrezi and saw the unclean ‘kitchen’ staff in dirty clothes prepare the food by sloshing a few tomatoes and coriander into what appeared to be a basic Tikka Massala sauce. The jalfrezi was not spicy, thick, full of onions peppers and coriander but an insipid slime and the meat was greasy. My girlfriend and I have ordered different dishes only to conclude that they serve the same curry essentially. This is not authentic, and it certainly did not even FILL me. At best it was literally no better than a frozen microwave cheapo curry. Sorry Abduls.I have tried them on both occasions and come away dissatisfied. Why not try the excellent Pabnahs in town or the tasty Kawars in Willowpark.
Easily the best curry in the area. Freshly cooked in an open plan kitchen. Fabulous flavours, no horrid colouring, fresh good quality ingredients, interesting menu, quick, great value and friendly. Just first class.
