Amble has many cafes so you have to be something special to survive – 1911 is definitely special. All food homemade, cakes to die for, and aromatic coffee. Staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.

Went in for a quick coffee and a panini. Pleasantly surprised. Nice contemporary surroundings, pleasant staff and nice panini with side salad and coleslaw all for under ยฃ8.
Service was very good, food was excellent, cost was very reasonable and all round it was a very good place to be. The decor might not suit all tastes but we found it bright and airy. We’ll go back.

This family run cafe recently opened. We’ve been in a couple of times to try lunch and breakfast. All of the food we have tried is delicious, including the homemade scones and cakes! The coffee is their own blend and is lovely.
