The King’s Head

About

Dating from 1455 The King's Head is an historic hidden gem in the heart of the old market town of Aylesbury. Beautiful beams and wooden floors bedeck this ancient inn, which surrounds an impressive old cobbled courtyard, and there is a warm welcome from our friendly, award winning staff, whether you are drinking, enjoying lunch or coming in for morning coffee. As The Chiltern Brewery's tap our bar is stocked with an excellent selection of our own fine English draught and bottled ales, craft lagers along with a distinctive choice of wines from the Rothschild Estate. The King's Head prides itself as a real ale pub of excellence and has a regular menu of guest ales, craft ales, lagers and ciders too, which can be browsed on the beer menu. Lunch is prepared fresh daily with a Sunday roast each week, plus evening food from 5-8pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays - and the menu specialises on quality, simplicity and taste using the finest locally sourced ingredients with a beer recommendation for most dishes. The King's Head also has a function room for hire, The Gatehouse Chamber. Steeped in history, it provides the perfect backdrop for hot buffets, wedding receptions, meetings and gatherings only a stone's throw from Aylesbury's town centre.
