This is a tricky one to vote…. the atmosphere, family run vibe and food would score really high but the service doesn’t match.The food is incredibly good value and huge portions that taste very authentic and fresh.However we had to wait for 40 minutes to be seated, even though we booked. We were given a glass of prosecco but no one communicated with us. Then when we were seated we we had to wait 40 minutes to order and ask 4 times if we could order. This pattern followed with dessert and asking for the bill. Luckily we were in no rush and I had been before so expected poor service. It’s a shame reading other reviews that are 2 years old that this has always been the case. More staff needed and more attentiveness but great food!
Okay food, let down by the service. Having reserved a table for 8:45 we didn’t get seated until past 9:00 then we had a 40-45 minute wait for our starters, when we asked where our food was no one seemed to have an answer and some servers would need to ask the manager to come and talk to us instead of answering themselves. The food portions were also far too large and not very well presented. The pasta dishes especially were not well presented and were daunting to look at, after a starter and wine we had to ask to take it home as we didn’t want to be rude and send nearly a full plate of food back to the kitchen (just too much!!). In short the restaurant was un-organised and not well managed which was a shame as the food was reasonably priced for what it was and seemed quite authentic.
