Went here for my sister’s birthday and was utterly disappointed by the total lack of service, overpriced and small dishes and blandness of every meal ordered. Even their desserts were terrible! No special fuss made at all for our celebration! We had a 3 course meal and the bill really hurt us at the end. This will be the first and last time they will be seeing us!!
We had dinner last night in Lambert’s and it was the final nail in the coffin. We’ve been before and been unimpressed this time it was just plain dreadful.1. Each course took over an hour to arrive and the service is charmless.2. The scallop starter was just that – a single scallop. More like an amuse bouche.3. The rabbit was undercooked and tough. It was returned to the chef.4. Our main of the pork loin was 70% unrendered fat – which after sending back the starter was deeply frustrating.5. Puddings OK but by then it was midnight and over 3 hours for 3 courses is not on.The restaurant aims to compete with local stars like Chez Bruce, The Dairy and a Trinity and it simply isn’t in the same league.
