The Light of Gurkha is a lovely restaurant in Balham serving up North Indian cuisine. Great service, good food and a very nice secluded backyard, where strings of light cascade down the walls and large heaters are thoughtfully placed in colder climes.Very lovely restaurant and I plan to return.

What the Balhamians have been waiting for….. Newly refurbished, this place is a gem!Definitely opt for the traditional Nepalese and clay oven options over the standard curry fare. The meat is so tender will melt in your mouth, and there is also a great range of tasty vegetarian options.
Was little hesitant but pleasantly suprised. Go for the Nepalese dishes rather than the standard curry options as this is a good opportunity. Nice service. Reasonable prices. Give it a go!
