A vibrant treasure trove of refreshingly different Indian food. This brightly painted ‘street food’ restaurant satisfies all of your spice cravings, serving upflavourful segments of India.I’ve been there quite a few times already and would recommend the Amritsari Machili to start, it’s spicy battered fish strips. If you can be indecisive, for a main, the Thali is a good price and covers all bases, curry, sides and dessert. Although, isn’t sharing caring? I love to get lots of dishes for the table for everyone to have a little mixture. My favourites are the Saagwala and Murgh Jalfrezi, with #1 Paneer Shashlik. It’s nice to see traditional papadoms make an appearance alongside mini papads, I say appearance as they disappear quite quickly with the yummy pickles and chutneys.CRAZY JALEBI SIDETRACK RANT PARAGRAPHThe only downfall is, sadly (and some of you may not even know what this delight is) no Jalebi! The menu taunts me every time when I see it in the dessert section, with hope in my heart I ask the waiters who, every time, no matter how friendly they are, tell me no. If you don’t know, a Jalebi is a beautiful orange crispy spiral of deep fried batter with saffron and a sweet syrupy coating. They are heaven to me and I think everyone should try them at least once and then probably eat them for the rest of their lives. So this is my campaign to get them back on the Thali&Pickles table. I can even taste them now, in my imagination. And now I cry at their absence :’-( ohhhhGET A GRIP GIRL!Ok so back to the restaurant… as you all know, I’m a big fan of open kitchens, this has a lovely gap where you can see the masters at work. Thumbs up to that. Although you could just walk in sometimes, this has been a very popular place and I’d recommend you book for a Fri or Sat night to avoid disappointment.

Went here on a Friday night and enjoyed some fantastic thalis. Tasty, full of flavour and quite filling (didn’t need the starters!), it was all good value as well. The decor and ambience was warm and pleasant. The service was friendly although a little disorganised. Overall, highly recommended.

I’ve been here a couple of times and have been thoroughly impressed! The first time I visited I opted for the Thali which is basically a set menu all on one plate! You get a meat curry, a dhal, onion barjhi, rice, chutney, nan and a dessert for around 13. The curry was delicious, well spiced and fragrant, the nan was so lovely, one of the best I’ve had and the only let down was the dessert – a very sweet yoghurt dish. When I visited the second we decided to stick with the Al a carte not the thali. The standout was the lamb chops they were sensational, juicy, and almost as good as tayabbs. A fresh, different concept throughly recommended!

Since their opening 2 month ago I have dined here over 6 times and was delighted every visit. Great flavours and spices and every dish was top notch. The interior complemented the concept of street food and the place always has a great vibe.If you haven’t been, you should. Their other branches Indian Moment and Indian Room are worth a visit too.
