A novelty that has taken off in the historic Barbican area of Plymouth UK and proved to be an almost cult haunt for locals and tourists looking for a dainty trad tea shop. St Luke's Hospice is an entirely independent hospice serving Plymouth West Devon and South East Cornwall. It is enormously popular and respected. It operates thirty charity shops in the immediate area several which are specialist bookshops and others clothing or furniture. Some sell coffee but the new shop in two units of the mostly early nineteenth century Southside Street was set up about eight months ago as an antique and bookshop with half given over to a tea shop exploiting the old building and stock. It has an authentic feel and has become busy most of the time to the point of occasional queues. Worth a Tripadvisor listing.
