Why eat there. Place is so expensive, there other restaurant China Rose Rainworth offers the same menu or a better value eat as much as you like for 15.95 and the food tastes that bit better for some reason plus you get service in that place
It was my 40th at the weekend and I love chinese food.. My family took me here for a special treat… All I can say is it cost too much the quality of the food was below average and the service wasn’t good. We ordered drinks and it took over half an hour to get to us and this happened throughout the entire nite. The staff constantly brought food that was meant for other tables and at times staff were very rude and bolshy. The only thing I did really like was the decor but didn’t appreciate paying through the nose for less than average food and service. VERY DISAPOINTING
Overpriced and disappointing. I had always wanted to go to china rose from hearing through other people how lovely it is. I’ve been twice now and on both occasions I felt disappointed with the food standards. I first had the satay chicken which was so salty I struggled to eat it and the second I had chicken with cashew nuts. This dish was tasty but the rest of the party had food served which were not worth the price tag that came with them. The service was temperamental and you often felt like you were bothering the busy waitering staff I you wanted anything. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant an will certainly bs sticking to my local Chinese buffet which is far tastier and half he price!
Beautiful setting, but the food is distinctly average and far below par for the price. Ordered a chicken dish and the meat was diced into tiny cubes and had a rubbery texture, with little bits of diced veg like you would get in a tin rather than like fresh home cooked food. It’s not awful, but it’s certainly not brilliant. I think they pander to those who care more about image and being seen in the right restaurant than the quality of the food. Save yourself 50 and get a takeaway from the Chinese in Fininjgley instead, a much better experience!
Poor food. Good ambience and staff…probably one of the few average chinese places for miles….But the food is a real let down…make sure you ask what the flavour is..you may be used to a hot Schezuan in the rest of the world..but here it will be sweet!!!Guess you will end up going here if you are in the area but order carefully!!!
Its nice. Hi allits a lovely place to be and its pretty cool but the food is not that amazing. Don’t get me wrong it’s OK and not a problem but it’s a premium price tag without the quality.China Palace in town center is not as pretty but food is better and cheaper??
Good service. Great food. Not the cheapest but a nice change from the usual greasy Chinese food at most restaurants. Highly recommended!
