Went to curry place with my family food was not too bad service was rubbish rude waiter was trying to order me all the expensive items when i said no and ordered what i wanted to eat his face changed never going back again and advice others to avoid
To be fair the food was pretty good, but then I tried to pay the bill and realised my initial perceptions about service were right. Throughout, the service had been discourteous but not outright rude, both to myself and the tables around me. I work in London regularly and have a maximum allowance from work set at 25. When I asked for 25 on my work card and the balance (about 2) to be paid in cash they tried to insist this was not possible and troed to force me into going to a cash point to withdraw cash. When I challenged this and pointed out that no other restaurant in London had ever declined this arrangement and suggested that they might be used to dealing with tourists who they dont need to encourage to come back, their response was that they didn’t know I wasn’t a tourist! Clearly tourists are getting ripped off here on a daily basis. I recommend the Maharaja down the road where I ate last week and experienced great service and food! Disgraceful!

Mr.. We went to Curry palace with 3 couples, evening started well as they got the papadoms on the table correct.after finishing starters which werent great, there was more salad then the actual food. We ordered all vegetarian mains, the food then arrived shortly but the the cutlery did not. One of our main course dishes were missing but instead got some chicken tikka instead? the portions are robbery, there is soo much gravy you cant even see what you are eating. We were also missing the naan bread as he forgot to order half of them. For a Monday night when it wasnt busy is shocking. The table was poorly attended and found it was like i was in a school room having to keep putting up my hand.I was then given the bill and to my amazement it was given with an apology and a 25 extra for service charge!The visit was an absolute disapointment and ruined our whole evening, there was no manager or anyone in charge to rectify the problems we had and just the incompetent staff theyve employed.It was almost impossible to communicate with them let alone complain. I have never written a review like this before but i had to let you know that it is the most ridiculous meal i have ever been for! DO NOT GO!! no good value, not good sevice, and if you do go and somethings wrong they dont have anyone there you can speak to.
DIdn’t like it.. I gave this place a go on Tuesday and it wasn’t great. Service was decent, however, the food was terrible. My chicken pakora consisted of three flat pieces of tastelessness, while my rogan josh-which is meant to be spicy and flavoursome-was as bland as air. The same could be said for my friend’s korma dish. The poppadoms and dips at the beginning of the meal were the best thing about the visit, but a bill of 38 for a meal for two left me feeling robbed. Avoid.
Good food. This place is great for the area is based in food is good clean ambiance and good service will recommend may not be to everyone’s liking but you don’t know until you try .. We had a dinner at curry palace & I must say it was one of the worse foods I have had the misfortune of paying for. The sauces in curry seemed straight out of supermarket jars, the taste of food was rubbish, they charged ridiculously & service of waiters was terrible. They stood staring at you making comments about how you eat. All & all it’s better to flush your money down the toilet then going to this place. The atmosphere & music in the place reeked of sleazy 80’s. Please avoid at all costs
