  Went there with a group of friends staff was courteous. Soup was good too with really good vegetables. The food was really good special shoutout for their chicken and prawns 🙂

  I absolutely love Kam Tong. It is one of my 2 favourites on this street crowded with a surfeit of Asian restaurants.Their dim sum menu in the afternoon is large, comprehensive and very tasty. They even offer part of their dim sum menu later in the evening for dinner.I heavily recommend the pumpkin shaped fried dumplings and the pork ribs with fermented black beans is outstanding. They have sweet dim sum too which are a lovely way to end your meal.From their main menu, I am most excited about their chicken tom yum soup. Most tom yum soup have shrimp/prawns in their stock. Since I’m allergic to that, I’ve had to content myself with poor attempts of this superbly flavoursome soup at home. So it’s amazing to me to have a shrimp free but very good version of this light yet tasty soup at Kam Tong.They are very very good with allergies. Most staff know the hidden ingredients (a complicated thing in Asian cooking) in the dishes and will happily reconfirm with the chef to assure you of the presence/absence of allergens.They have so many interesting things on the menu, that it is very easy to over-order. We almost always end up packing up a dish or two at the end.The staff is very helpful and a couple of them are now familiar enough with our presence to begin talking and joking with us. on.fb.me
