About
Le Café Anglais is conveniently situated in Bayswater, West London. It first opened its doors in November 2007 to critical acclaim. Customers were bowled over by the spaciousness of the interior, the stunning views across central London and the comprehensive menu. Rowley Leigh, founder and Chef de Cuisine at Le Café Anglais, was inspired by a visit to a restaurant in St-Jean-de-la-Rivière. The place was filled with convivial groups and at one end the chef was operating a giant spit. Le Café Anglais are firm believers in spit roasting as the best way to roast meat and they provide similar theatre here. The style of the restaurant offers affordable Art Deco glamour. Magnificent floor-to-ceiling mullioned windows; butter-soft eau de nil leather banquettes; bird's eye maple veneer and smoky mirrors all add to the effect. The main restaurant seats 180 people. The private dining room has space for 26 or 50 standing and is ideal for special occasions, business meetings or smaller events.
