Visited Tamarind a few days ago and I was very impressed with their service. From the outside the establishment looks dull and lifeless not very inviting at all. Service inside with superb however all the staff were really friendly and really made us feel welcome. Food was decent too, a touch on the oily side for my liking but otherwise well flavoured and generous portion sizes too.
Worst!!!. Staff behaviour was very rude and manager is even worse. Manager didn’t even felt sorry for his staff’s attitude towards us and it didn’t even seem to have bothered him when we were leaving in between without having main course. Worst restaurant…. wouldn’t recommend.
Worst Restaurant I Ever Visited. I went to this restaurant along with my friends to party hard on a Saturday evening along with a nice cake. Although the welcome was not a good one we adjusted. But it turned out to be a worst restaurant experience and the staff behaviour was totally rude and the way they take order was as if they were commanding us. Staff here doesn’t know how to behave with customers at all and total misbehaviour while serving. Manager doesn’t even seemed to have bothered when we were leaving the restaurant in between. WORST EVER RESTAURANT I HAVE VISITED IN MY LIFE. STRONGLY WOULDN’T RECOMMEND AT ALL.
As a person seeking to have a great time on a Saturday evening on a dinner out with friends, I can tolerate if the food is not so great but definitely can’t tolerate misbehaviour & rudeness towards my mates. Staff at this restaurant seemed to have no training whatsoever as how to deal with customers. And what’s even worse is that their manager was quite cold and indifferent to our ordeal. Strongly won’t recommend if you are looking forward to having a great time there.
Brilliant. Just the perfect place to go for an Indian at the weekend. We meetup there on a regular basis with friends, usually go for the Buffet on Sunday or Monday Banquet. The Achari Lamb is my fave dish & the sag aloo is great.
High end indian Cuisine. I usually prefer the real dives around SoHo to get my Indian fix while I am in London but I like the Tamarind. Food is prepared behind a window so you can watch, the nan is spectacular and the food is very good; eloquently prepared and served. Nice, attentive service. Pricey, but, you are in Mayfair, what do you expect!
