Over an hr and 15 mins for delivery at 2 pm .food had leaked all inside bag which the driver even pre warned me then the food was cold-Luke warm.when calling to complain they said they couldn’t understand why it was cold but no opologies 4 the wait and poor delivery .16 pounds well wasted and feel annoyed with myself 4 using yum chi Leicester.
Lots of flavour and great hangover food, no washing up !! But when busy I’ve waited 2 hours as they forgot!
Amazing Food. Nuff said.. I really don’t know what some of the other reviewers are talking about. I have just moved to Leicester from London and Yumchi’s food is some of the best modern Chinese cuisine I have ever tasted. It’s not the typical greasy, salty msg-laded fare, so if that’s what your looking for, go elsewhere. The vegetarian Singapore noodles look and taste amazing; the vegetables are fresh and crunchy, noodles are perfectly cooked and just the right amount of egg. The black bean sauce is one of the best I’ve ever tasted and I would recommend it highly with the tofu. The baked prawns with salt and chilli are out of this world. Usually this dish is just hot and salty but Yumchi add an array of glorious flavours and spices to the vegetables accompanying the prawns as well as the prewns themselves. The staff are always very polite and delivery is prompt – usually within 20 minutes of placing the order. They are also incredible value for money, especially considering the high quality of the food and the ingredients – my partner and I order a nice variety of food for just over 12 (so, 6 per person). Brilliant options for vegetarians too.All in all, friendly, high quality, consistent and great value Chinese Takeaway.
Lies. Beef looks like mushrooms and they didnt add ingredients which I ordered. I called to make complain they say they will call back and never did. Not happy !!
4 words… yummyyummyyummyyumchi I love it and the secret seasoning is great and if you order it by phone and they say 10 minutes they mean 10 minutes exactly! I would reccomend this to any one who likes Chinese but is looking for a twist because a twist us wot you get you rock! :-)30 May, 2010Yumchi is the best Chinese take away meals I have ever tasted and has 2 words to describe it and them words are……… HOT and SPICY! !
Yummyyummyyummy. I don’t understand the last review. I have been enjoying Yumchi meal boxes and free Pepsis for 2 years now and have never waited for my takeaway. The trick is to call 10 minutes beforehand – 15 on Fridays, but that’s not rocket science. As for the food, Chicken & Black bean with special rice is the current favourite but the curries, Kung Po, Chow Mein and Crispy Beef are all great and all less than 5 for huge portions. Embrace the bigger tummy, Yumchi food is Yummy!!!!
Good takeaway but struggles when busy!. HI, I will say the food is good and well presented for a takeaway. The service however is prioritised for delivery rather than takeaway which is misguided. I waited there for 40 mins for my food and ended up asking them to deliver to my house which was the faster route! Try the Ho Fun noodles… great taste!
