My visit to the Butlers Wharf was rather mixed. The sausage and mash I had was great, but my friend’s fish cakes were not very nice as they consisted mainly of potato. The staff weren’t particularly good either. Despite there being a lot of them, they weren’t very attentive, and seemed to just be standing around doing nothing. However, the view is very nice over tower bridge, and the atmosphere is enjoyable.
What a great experience. Service was excellent and attentive despite our 2 rowdy tables. Rave reviews of every food item ordered from all 24 guests. As the only veggie at the table, I loved my tomato soup and potato/beet dumplings, light, fluffy and very favoursome. Sommelier understood what we were looking for and instead of gravitate to the most expensive options on the menu, suggested a great selection at mid-range prices.. And the location makes it an ideal spot on a summers’ evening.
